What Happened in Piedmont?
Cats: Most Popular, Paranormal|I am hooked. This looks like the gretest game on the net in the last decade.
I’ve been back to the site two or three times. I’ve listened to the message. It is hard to tell what happened, or why no one has tried to get back in touch with the blogger.

What happened? Stay tuned. We can try and figure it out together.

Hm, as an author of fiction novels, I’m intrigued. Do you believe in ghosts? Sounds like one is haunting in Piedmont.

Awe I just looked it up online and found out the domain is registered to A&E networks and that it’s a promo for a movie. I knew it was a game but they should’ve been more careful to keep it hush hush. The movie, Andromeda Strain is apparently the reason for the site.

I think it is just some made up thing like the “Blair Witch” to get attention from the public before a movie comes out. I mean I saw a “commercial” for that website on the television and then I went to the site and the blogger hasnt said anything about what he has done to try and reach his “family” since the first call he made. Seems to weird to be true anyway. I think it is just a set up for a movie.

Yes - this type of viral marketing has become very popular. And it could be the lead up to a movie or a television show. But, I’ve never seen a company that turned it into a ‘game.’ I did read all the instructions and disclaimer - and it does look like they are going to have some fun build up with things we get to do. They had better - or it won’t work next time
