Great News for Candace
Cats: Author Friends|My friend Candace just let me know that her new book was accepted by Champaign publishers. She has a a western historical publsihed, Golden Enchantment: www.candacemorehouse.com
She waited 2 months to hear back on her new book, Suspicion of Love, so it wasn’t so bad.
She likes writing for Champaign. The publisher is growing, and she has great hopes for sales. The publisher is working hard to get Candace’s first book into print by the end of the month.
Westerns are not selling well now, but they are making a come back.
I loved writing this book! I did a ton of research, so much so that the characters travel down the streets of London to reach their destinations. My son jokes that if I was transported to London in 1901, I would know my way around with no problem.
Candace and I were chatting. She invented the characters on a mix between Eliza Doolittle and Elizabeth Taylor.
My characters told me who they wanted to be and I just went with it. Little did I know Jacqueline would turn out to be such a sex machine!
I can’t write like that. I like to know who my characters are first, then I write about them. Calum was molded after my husband.
Anyone who looks like Matthew McConaughey is my fantasy man, dear. Just make sure you also say that I am madly in love with my husband and MM is just a fantasy!
I love creating heros after real men. What about you?
